The Abbey Fence Panels are constructed using solid steel with a traditional wrought iron appearance. The decorative design creates an attractive fence at an affordable price. The steel used in the manufacture of this fence panel is electro-galvanised to add a thin layer of zinc on the steel to prevent rust. The fence panel is then powder coated in a black paint to give a smooth satin finish. This option allows the fence to be installed straight away and provides protection against rust for up to 10 years. Once rust starts to show, the fence should be painted with a suitable exterior metal paint such as Hammerite.

50mm (2") square Fence Posts that can either be concreted into the ground or bolted down are also available.

How to Measure Fencing

The fence panel width measurement of 1830mm (6ft) includes the space required by the hinges that are supplied for installation. Therefore this measurement is the actual gap width that is required by one panel. The height measurement is taken from the bottom frame to the highest point on the fence which in this case is the top frame.

If you buy two panels and one post, you will need an overall opening of 1830+50+1830mm = 3710mm (12ft 2in)

When installing your fence, remember to leave ground clearance, typically 50mm (2").

Warranty

Our metal fence panels come with a 10-year workmanship guarantee, covering the structural integrity of the welding and the manufacturing process. This guarantee does not extend to the paint finish, which requires regular maintenance to prevent rust. While the zinc plating and powder coating can protect against corrosion for up to 10 years, exposure to coastal environments may shorten this lifespan. Customers are responsible for touching up any chips, wear, or installation-related marks to maintain protection. All nuts and bolts should be painted after fitting, and periodic maintenance with a rust-inhibiting metal paint is recommended. Failure to carry out necessary upkeep may void the guarantee.
