The Classic Railings are constructed using solid steel with traditional scrollwork to create an attractive railing that is easy to install and offers great value for money. The steel used in the manufacture of this railing is electro-galvanised to add a thin layer of zinc on the steel to prevent rust. The railing is then powder coated in a black paint to give a smooth satin finish. This option allows the railing to be installed straight away and offers protection from rust for up to 10 years. Once rust starts to show, the railing should be painted with a suitable exterior metal paint such as Hammerite.
50mm (2") square bolt-down Railing Posts are also available if required.

How to Measure Railings
For the width, measure the gap you have between your walls or posts. If you are replacing an existing railing, do not measure the railing itself as this will not take into account the space for the hinges that are supplied with your railing.
The height measurement of the railing is from the bottom frame to the highest point in the railing.
When installing your railing, remember to allow for base clearance, typically 50mm (2").
General Information
Fittings. The Classic Railing is supplied with hinges. Please note the hinges require a flat vertical surface for installation.
Warranty
Our metal railings come with a 10-year workmanship guarantee, covering the structural integrity of the welding and the manufacturing process. This guarantee does not extend to the paint finish, which requires regular maintenance to prevent rust. While the zinc plating and powder coating can protect against corrosion for up to 10 years, exposure to coastal environments may shorten this lifespan. Customers are responsible for touching up any chips, wear, or installation-related marks to maintain protection. All nuts and bolts should be painted after fitting, and periodic maintenance with a rust-inhibiting metal paint is recommended. Failure to carry out necessary upkeep may void the guarantee.
