This 70mm (2.75") square metal post is designed for use with the Sandringham Tall Single Gate. The post is available as a hinge post or latch post and has the relevant fittings pre-welded for easier installation. The posts are supplied with a black primed finish to match the gate and are designed to be concreted into the ground.

The posts are designed to be concreted into the ground by 610mm (24"). This will leave a 50mm (2") gap between the ground and the bottom of the gate. If you require more ground clearance, you can reduce the amount the post is buried or contact us to order a made to measure post.

Finish

With a primed finish, a black undercoat is applied at the factory. The post will then need to be painted before installation with a suitable exterior metal paint, such as Hammerite, and then repainted every 4 or 5 years to protect the metal. This option allows you to paint the post in any colour of your choice.
