Shed & Fence Wood Stain from Protek is a waterproofing wood stain designed for use on planed and rough sawn timber. This water based stain is formulated using wax additives to provide water and mould resistance to vertical surfaces. It is a high-build formulation meaning that each additional coat will increase the depth of the colour, leaving a thicker coating with a richer sheen. Shed & Fence Stain is child and animal safe, making it great for staining play equipment or animal housing. This product is a safe alternative to Creosote with good eco-credentials. This water based treatment can be applied by brush or low pressure sprayer. Being water-based means that it is easy to clean up with warm water and detergent, negating the need for white spirit or paint stripping solutions. Application

Surfaces should be cleaned with warm water, detergent and a stiff brush. Make sure that any previous surface treatments, pressure treatment residue, mould and algae is removed and rinse well. No basecoat or primer is required. For fencing one coat will colour and weather-proof with a second coat deepening the shade. For sheds it is recommended that two coats be applied for the first treatment with only one coat needed for future maintenance. Ensure that timber is fully dry prior to application. Do not apply to wet timber or if rain is expected within 48 hours, or if the temperature is below 5 degrees. Touch dry within 2 hours depending on drying conditions and humidity.
