The 600 gallon pond is designed with Koi in mind. The one piece heavy duty liner includes an integrated 19 inch deep sump which sits below ground level, giving a total depth of 3ft 10in (117cm). The top 2ft 5in of the liner is supported by an easy slot together pressure treated timber frame. Once the hole has been dug for the sump, assembly can be completed in under 30 minutes. The generous proportions of this pond along with the extra depth provided by the below ground sump makes this pond a suitable habitat for several mature koi.

Maintenance

This pond kit uses timber that has been pressure-treated for durability and a lifespan of up to 20 years with minimal maintenance. Initially, it may have a green tint, which will fade to a silvery grey over time. If you want to change the colour, you can stain it immediately with Protek Timber Eco Shield or paint/stain it after 3 months using a compatible product. As a natural material, the wood features knots and grain variations, and seasonal moisture changes may cause cracks or splits, but these will not affect its durability or strength.
